2005-2006: Head Designer/Merchandiser for “Dorissa” (NY, NY) - Company unites 3 brand named companies -“Dorissa, Sugar Plum and Little Miss”– Girls Dresses Sizes-7-16/Junior. Responsible for the development, overseeing and completion of the company’s Special Occasion Dress line, Novelty Twin/Junior Trend line and Sport/Active Dress lines- trend research/setting, fabric/color directions and merchandising- to final production. Other responsibilities included sourcing piece goods and trim resources needed for the creation of first samples, overseeing sample room production, fittings, checking garment constructions and specking. 1996-2004: Studio ALB (NY, NY) - Formation of own freelance consulting business for Fashion Design /Merchandising/ Styling and Visual Merchandising services. Most recent work experience included: Fashion Design, Merchandising/Trend setting, Personal Fashion Consultant services, Visual Merchandising and Styling for photo shoots. 1995-1996: Haddad Organization (NY, NY) - Designer/Merchandiser responsible for designing licensed brand lines for “Mighty Mac -Sport,” “Bugle Boy”-sizes 4-14 and “Cotler” and “Harley Davidson”- Boys/Young men Sportswear divisions – coordinated separates-8-18. Reported directly to the directors/owners of each division. 1990-1995: Tickle me/ Tackle me (NY, NY) - Head Designer/Merchandiser for their Girls/Boys Sportswear division. Responsible for line concept, color direction, silhouettes, print selections and screen prints approval. Control of first sample strike-offs, lab dips and final production approval. Dealt with domestic piece goods and trim resources. In charge of merchandising each line. Constant research for line development, using directional reports, travel, trade shows and fashion forecasts. 1988-1990: Andover Togs (NY, NY) - Designer/ Merchandiser for Boys-8-14 sportswear division. Responsible for all phases of design development. Worked directly with the president of the junior sportswear division to merchandise each line and helped with the final presentation of each line. 1986-1988: Dijon Apparel, Inc (NY, NY) - Associate Designer for Boys/Girls 4-16 Sportswear Line. Responsible for assisting in developing line concept, color direction, silhouettes, print selections and screen prints approvals. Control of first sample strike-offs, lab dips and final production approval. Dealt with overseas piece goods and manufacturers. Reporting directly to the directors/owners of the company.
